Bayou Bacchanal is the official
Caribbean Carnival of New Orleans. This vibrant festival is one of the most unique and energizing parties
of the city, which is an event that encourages everyone to participate with dance, singing and costumes.
The non-profit organization, Caribbean Carnival / Friends of Culture, hosts the carnival yearly in New
Orleans every first Saturday of November that brings the city to life
with amazing costumes, steel band beats, Soca music and authentic Caribbean cuisine.
Bayou Bacchanal brings its party to the streets of downtown New Orleans starting
with a parade at Harrah's casino, continues down famous Canal Street, and then takes the party
to Armstrong Park for more entertainment.
Bayou Bacchanal is a great way to enjoy the city and enjoy yourself. Bring your friends or the family! We are
waiting to shake the streets with you. The festival is growing into an amazing
event which is credited to sharing the Caribbean culture with New Orleans since 2001. We hope you will find
